| I am a freelance content writer, and believe that my flair in writing drives me forward. My articles have appeared in many national online and print publications, and I have an expertise in writing in the genres of Economics, Business and Politics, although I also write travelogues and reviews for Trip Advisor and Travel Masti.
I am working as an Online Editor for an acclaimed Indian online newspaper. Currently, I am writing a column on how the Delhi's environment would be affected because of the upcoming Commonwealth games in 2010 for the Centre of Science and Research publication ‘Down to Earth’. I am also working on a column on 'student politics in India' with a friend for a Hungarian national daily.
I am also pursuing an internship program with The Viewspaper, after which I intend to join it as Correspondent. This month-long internship focuses on research, writing and editing. In the same vein, The Viewspaper is an online newspaper for the youth, and receives 150,000 views per month on average.
I completed an advanced-level course in Creative Writing from the British Council at Delhi in August, 2008. This 2-month intensive course certifies me as a professional creative writer. It helped hone my skills in content writing.
On the academic front, I am a student of Math in the University of Delhi. I passed out from the Delhi Public School with 88% marks. I was part of the editorial team in school, and I’m a member of the debating society and the literary club in college too. The college magazine we’ve designed is under scrutiny, and shall be published in about a month. |
